Senior Executive Demand Planning

Dimension of the role:

• Procurement of Goods both Direct & Distribution Centre products for the Trading Purposes
• Optimize and Grow Category GP levels as per the company targets
• Grow Category sales as per the company targets
• Work in collaboration with the relevant Category Buyer
• Ensure highest quality products are procured consistently
• Advice and guide retail staff on best practices in storage and merchandising
• Understand consumer behavioral trends
• Coordinate with relevant suppliers on a timely manner.
• Maintain a healthy and professional relationship with suppliers.
• Support buyer with critical/important information.
• Setting up Goods Ordering sheets.
• Ensuring timely order generation by the ordering team & ensuring orders are sent to suppliers in time.
• Conducting follow ups in the fill rates (supplier & Product).
• Managing the short expiries & damaged goods at DC & supplier claims.
• Assist in managing stocks efficiently and maintaining stock holding to the required level, reducing stock outs. Assist stores/buyers with returns.
• Maintain agreements where needed for stock availability and conditions of supply.
• Preparing the Promo Claims for the month and sharing data with Procurement Dry & Perishable Senior Managers.
• Preparing Fill Rates & Status Reports and sharing data with Procurement Dry & Perishable Senior Managers
• Assist in implementing the Planning & Category Management Senior Manager's/Manager's and
• Head of Commercial's strategies in achieving departmental Sales/ GP
• Preparing DC claims/supplier claims and sharing an overview with Procurement Dry - Senior Manager
• Identify slow movers and support buyer to reduce stock holding or sell stocks.
• Assist in developing and adhere to SOP's
• Ensure ethical dealings and trade with all suppliers/partners

Minimum requirements:

• G.C.E A/L
• Diploma in Material Management is preferred
• Good IT knowledge (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PPT)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in retail procurement/demand planning/supply chain or similar capacity
• Minimum of 1 year in a Executive position
• Experience in negotiating and procurement
• Working knowledge in both oral and written to compliment the effectiveness of the job role.
