Technical Specialist

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Design and Develop: Lead the design, development, testing, and support of microservices-based applications and APIs using Java, Spring, React, and AWS services.
• Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of engineers, ensuring quality and timely delivery while collaborating with architects and stakeholders.
• Code and Architecture Reviews: Conduct thorough code and design reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high standards across both functional and non-functional areas.
• System Reliability: Manage the health of production systems, quickly addressing incidents with effective fixes and preventive measures.
• Agile and DevOps: Champion Agile and DevOps methodologies, taking ownership of the full development lifecycle from design to deployment.
• AWS Expertise: Leverage AWS cloud services to build and maintain scalable, resilient systems.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and methodologies to continuously enhance our systems and processes.

What We Look For:

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Expertise: 5+ years of experience in developing applications using Java, Spring, React, and strong proficiency in AWS cloud technologies.
• Leadership and Mentorship: Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor junior developers, and collaborate effectively with architects and leads on complex design challenges.
• Strong Communicator: Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders across different teams.
• Architecture and Cloud Knowledge: Extensive experience with microservices architecture, software and system design, and AWS cloud services.
• Engineering Best Practices: Commitment to engineering best practices, with a focus on non-functional requirements and Quality Engineering.
• DevOps and CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, modern DevOps practices, and methodologies including Agile (SCRUM), continuous integration, and continuous development.
• Optional Skills: Python and Node.js experience would be an added advantage.
