Description

The role holder is responsible for creating and designing reports from various systems and analyzing the results for the management team, and business unit heads for their decision-making. The role holder is also responsible for communicating and presenting analytical findings to the management team. This must be done on a regular basis to stay caught up on recent information. The role holder is also responsible for supporting the bank’s strategies and initiatives by way of providing accurate information on a timely basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly segmental and product performance reporting pack.
  • Provide insights into business performance vs competitor and industry trends.
  • Execute accurate reporting that enables sound analysis and financial recommendations.
  • Develop annual budgets/forecasts and drive the bank’s strategic plan.
  • Assist in strategic data analysis, research, and modeling for the senior leadership to drive the bank’s strategic plan.
  • Drive the development of data analytics capability of the finance function and be a key member of transformation initiatives.
  • Perform regular data quality checks to ensure all reported information is accurate and relevant.
  • Identify process improvements to streamline data collection and report generation.
  • Carry out any other duties/projects which may arise and be assigned by the CFO /HOF from time to time.

Candidate Profile

  • CIMA/ CA qualification together with a minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in the Banking/ Finance sector including 2 years in the Manager Grade.
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification from a recognized University/Professional body. An MBA would be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in implementing and reporting on segmental and product profitability, transfer pricing concepts, cost centers, and cost allocation methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience in budgeting and forecasting, finance business partnering, RAROC, and similar KPI computations, with the ability to develop new metrics for performance measurement.
  • Familiar with data management and reporting software, advanced Excel skills including modeling.
  • High level of business acumen and strategic outlook.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset.
