Company: Impress printingAbout the Role: We are looking for an experienced&nbsp;Purchasing Officer&nbsp;to handle all procurement activities related to raw materials, machinery parts, and consumables for our printing and packaging operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely availability of materials at the best possible price without compromising quality.Key Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.</li><li>Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers for materials such as paper, ink, plates, boards, foils, films, and machine parts.</li><li>Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse and production departments to plan purchases.</li><li>Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, price, delivery, and responsiveness.</li><li>Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery timelines.</li><li>Collaborate with the finance department to manage budgets, payments, and cost controls.</li><li>Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements in the procurement process.</li><li>Ensure compliance with legal and company policies related to purchasing.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Minimum&nbsp;3–5 years&nbsp;of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the&nbsp;printing or packaging industry.</li><li>Strong negotiation and communication skills.</li><li>Knowledge of raw materials specific to printing processes (e.g., offset paper types, BOPP films, inks, plates).</li><li>Familiarity with inventory systems or ERP platforms (like Odoo, SAP, or similar).</li><li>Excellent organizational and analytical skills.</li><li>Diploma/Degree in&nbsp;Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.</li></ul>Preferred Skills:<ul><li>Experience with&nbsp;import logistics and customs clearance.</li><li>Strong vendor network in Sri Lanka or the region.</li><li>Ability to handle urgent procurement requests efficiently</li></ul>
