We are looking for an experienced and tenacious individual, who has already demonstrated their ability to work in an early-stage startup, to drive our go-to-market efforts of Daraz’s new fintech venture, Koko in Sri Lanka. Koko is a Buy Now Pay Later payment platform incubated under Daraz and was founded in Sri Lanka in 2020. We are passionate about evolving the merchant and consumer shopping experience by providing our customers with an easy, interest-free payment plan. Koko will be completely free for customers who pay on time – helping people spend responsibly without incurring interest, fees, or extended debt. Koko empowers customers to access the things they want and need, while still allowing them to maintain financial wellness and control, by splitting payments in three, for both online and in-store purchases.

To support our ambitious growth plans, we’re looking for smart, collaborative, and passionate people who are looking to make a genuine impact in Sri Lanka’s financial and retail ecosystem.

Our team is looking for Merchant Engagement Executive who match the following job role:

· Account Management and Portfolio Development for Koko.

· Maximize the effectiveness of our sales and marketing efforts and help drive new revenue.

· Working closely with internal analysts, delivery and marketing teams at Koko to drive successful portfolio development.

· Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals.

· Act as a liaison between the merchants and company by providing necessary engagement.

· Prepare and deliver appropriate analytics regarding merchant and commercial performance.

· Negotiate/acquire new merchants to the platform,

· Develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

About you:

· You’ll have a passion for sales growth and a strong background in Account Management and Portfolio Management.

· Some interest in Fintech industry

· You’ll have great attention to detail and a really strong understanding of the mechanics and potential mentioned in the job role above.

Job requirements would include:

· Completed or following a Bachelors in Business Management/Marketing/Information & Technology or any equivalent qualification in CIM/SLIM.

· Experience of minimum 2-3 years in Corporate Sales and Account Management.

· Proficiency in MS office packages (MS Excel is a must) and Google Applications.

· Communication skills in English and Sinhala/Tamil.

· Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

· Ambitious, detailed results and customer oriented individual, with a ‘can-do’ mindset and ready to learn on the job and take on challenges.
