A Socially driven travel company based in Katunayake is seeking a Head of Sales to join their growing team.


Role Objective:

As the Head of Marketing, you will play a pivotal role in driving our marketing strategy and initiatives to enhance brand visibility, customer acquisition, and market share. You will lead a team responsible for executing comprehensive marketing campaigns, leveraging both digital and traditional channels to maximize our presence in the tourism and travel sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of consumer behavior, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully implementing innovative marketing strategies.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Marketing Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic marketing plans aligned with company objectives to drive growth, enhance brand awareness, and increase customer engagement.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability. Mentor team members to achieve their full potential and deliver impactful results.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of all marketing campaigns across various channels including digital marketing, social media, content marketing, SEO/SEM, email, and partnerships.
  • Brand Management: Manage and enhance the company's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing efforts and communication channels. Develop brand positioning strategies to differentiate TuktukRental.com in the market.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer insights. Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Implement strategies to acquire new customers and optimize customer retention efforts through targeted marketing initiatives, loyalty programs, and customer relationship management.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve ROI targets and marketing objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, sales, and customer support to align marketing efforts with overall business goals and ensure seamless execution of integrated campaigns.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior marketing role with a track record of driving successful marketing campaigns and strategies within the tourism, travel, or related industries.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital marketing channels, SEO/SEM best practices, social media platforms, and analytics tools.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategies.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for innovation and staying abreast of industry trends and developments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages such as Sinhala or Tamil is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
