Description
We are seeking an experienced ICT Application Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and support of various software applications used across the organization. This role involves troubleshooting issues, providing technical assistance to end-users, and collaborating with other IT professionals to maintain efficient workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Application Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for various software applications, ensuring issues are resolved promptly and efficiently.
- User Assistance: Assist end-users with technical inquiries, system navigation, and problem resolution through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
- Incident Management: Manage and prioritize support tickets and incidents, ensuring timely resolution and escalation when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of support activities, including issue resolution steps, troubleshooting procedures, and user guides.
- Software Updates and Maintenance: Collaborate with IT teams to ensure applications are updated and maintained according to company policies and industry best practices.
- Training: Conduct training sessions for end-users on new applications, features, or updates to enhance their proficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL) are a plus.
- Experience: Proven experience (X years) in ICT application support or a similar role in a corporate environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting software applications, understanding of database management, and familiarity with network protocols and configurations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with end-users and technical teams.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and across departments to deliver high-quality support services.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with ERP systems, CRM software, or specialized industry-specific applications.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices in IT service management.
- Familiarity with cloud-based applications and services.
