Our team helps companies navigate the accounting and financial reporting challenges of business combinations. As part of the team, you’ll develop roadmaps of the driving economic objectives, determine the appropriate professionals needed, and consider financial reporting implications for deals.
Requirements:
- A candidate with hands-on work experience of at least 5 to 10 years in financial analysis and industry research
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance/ Management
- Experience in having negotiated and facilitated closure of key transactions involving M&As, fund raises and equivalent deal
- To assist and facilitate clients to participate in the available deals / facilitate deals in an economically viable manner for all stakeholders
- To source expertise within Sri Lanka and the global PWC network to add value to the client services being provided for structuring deals
- Prepare concept documents and proposals on available and potential deals
- Identify and strategize on potential clients for whom selected deals would be a good match with their expansion plans
- Work with multiple teams to conceptualize, do feasibilities, market assessments and formulate solutions for clients on potential deals
- Carry out, macro and industry research - both field and desk based - on potential opportunities being explored to be shared with clients
- Manage client relationships effectively and facilitate progress on assignments being handled
- Maintain a database of potential projects and deals discussed and shortlisted by the firm for further evaluation
- Maintain stakeholder relationships with government and private institutions, research agencies, chambers of commerce and regulators to facilitate and assist in assignments
- Write reports, papers, briefs, proposals and presentations for multiple stakeholders involved in the deals
- Track new industry developments and policy changes which will be catalysts for new deals
- Write articles and other material which will help to create visibility for the firm in advisory services in SL and within the PWC network
- Maintain databases of learning and information gathered which can be updated and used for future purpose
- Effectively negotiate between buyers and sellers to ensure attractive outcomes for all parties
