Main Responsibilities:
As the Manager Financial and Statutory reporting, you will be responsible for handling the financial and statutory reporting of the bank in line with SLFR standards and CBSL reporting requirements, while acting as the custodian of the General Ledger of the Bank. Additionally, this role involves assisting in the analysis of the bank’s performance, including the preparation of budgets, forecasts, capital planning and scenario planning.
This position will play a crucial role in the transformation of the finance department by introducing data visualization tools to enhance the efficiency, accuracy and reporting capacity of the function. This role is expected to enhance finance's role as a valued business partner by introducing new financial concepts, KPI metrics, staying updated on developments in financial and analytical concepts.
Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree from a reputed university in the field of Accounting or Finance is preferred
- Member of a recognized professional accounting body such as CA, ACCA, CIMA
- Full or part qualification from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the relevant field
- Good written and oral communication skills in English and Sinhala language
- Advanced knowledge of Excel is required, while hands-on knowledge of data visualization tools is advantageous
- Thorough knowledge of tax regulations and the latest accounting pronouncements
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills
- A strategic mindset coupled with a strong desire to learn and a sense of urgency
- Highly motivated, attention to detail, strong analytical and critical problem-solving skills
- Self-starter, and a team player with ability to communicate with teams with various backgrounds
- Ability to make sound decisions with minimal supervision
