Electrical Engineer

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTs

• Identify maintenance requirements and attend to all Electrical / Electronic Engineering / Programing related breakdowns and repairs of machines as practiced and established by the organization set standards such as safety, Reliability Centered Maintenance, energy, and quality (ISO compliance).
• Coordinate with relevant parties to obtain all required resources using substitutes when necessary to reduce production downtime.
• Develop, maintain, and improve Preventive / Corrective maintenance and follow-up Predictive Maintenance activities to ensure a smooth manufacturing process whilst reducing machine downtime.
• Recommend equipment modifications to increase efficiency.
• Work directly with engineers in other disciplines to augment production size and value.
• Perform any other responsibility as assigned by the management.
• Maintain Seahawk data capturing system networking and other related issues and improvements.
• The efficiency of assistance interventions (responses to the demands of operational maintenance on breakdowns and corrective action plan to avoid recurring problems)
• Assist Energy Engineer in the plant to implement energy-saving projects.
• Conduct training of technicians in order to uplift their skill level in Automation, Programming, Electrical Distribution, New Technology, etc.
• Carry out safety improvement works in liaise with plant safety team.
• Carry out problem-solving, Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA) Sessions, Spare Parts ordering, Material Request Order (MRO) Level Decisions, New Equipment commissioning, etc.
• Assist improvement Engineer with electrical works in improvement projects.
• Initiate power saving project related to electrical section monitor daily energy consumption level in all important equipment and take approximate action if necessary.
• Attend extended Team Leader Base Organizacion (TLBO) meetings and take care of related Improvement card & Problem card ( ICPC).

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in large scale manufacturing sector
• Good computing knowledge (Auto CAD, MS office, SAP, MS Project)
• Ability to organize, prioritize and manage various work assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skill
• Fluent in both English & Sinhala Language
