  • BSc in Audiology & Speech Language Pathology.
  • SLMC registration as an Audiologist & Speech Therapist.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years working experience in the similar capacity.

  • Identify, Assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent hearing, speech, language, cognitive, communication, voice, swallowing, fluency, and other related disorders.
  • Administers hearing or speech/language evaluations, tests, or examinations to patients to collect information on type and degree of impairment.
  • Evaluates hearing and speech/language test results and medical or background information to determine hearing or speech impairment and treatment.
  • Use written and oral tests, as well as special instruments, to diagnose the nature and extent of impairment and to record and analyze speech, language, and swallowing irregularities.
  • Recommend and provide fitting of hearing amplification devices and tuning of cochlear implants and provide the necessary rehabilitation for adjustment to listening with amplification systems.
  • Developing an individualized plan of care, tailored to each patient's needs.
  • For individuals with little or no speech capability, selecting augmentative or alternative communication methods, including automated devices and sign language, and teach their use.
  • Teach individuals how to make sounds, improve their voices, or increase their language skills to communicate more effectively.
  • Help patients to develop, or recover, reliable communication skills so patients can fulfill their educational, vocational, and social roles.
  • Counsels and instructs clients in techniques to improve speech or hearing impairment, including sign language or lip-reading.
  • Keeping records on the initial evaluation, progress, and discharge of patients and continuity of care and treatment.
  • Conducting training programs as when necessary to the external parties.
  • Conducts or directs research and reports findings on speech or hearing topics to develop procedures, technology, or treatments.
  • Plans and conducts prevention programs for clients' hearing or speech problems.
  • Records and maintains reports of speech or hearing research or treatments.
  • Refers clients to additional medical or educational services if needed.
  • Advises educators or other medical staff on speech or hearing topics.
  • Educate and supervise Audiology/speech language pathology students and health care personnel.
  • Participates in conferences or training to update or share knowledge of new hearing or speech disorder treatment methods or technology.
