Description

The Assistant Manager - Learning and Development at Fortude will oversee and manage all aspects of leadership development, manager development, coaching, and mentoring programs. This role requires a strategic thinker capable of designing, developing, and delivering high-impact training content and programs aligned with Fortude's goals and values.

Main duties/responsibilities

  • Oversee leadership development programs, including manager development, coaching, and mentoring initiatives.
  • Partner with senior leaders to identify leadership development needs and design targeted programs.
  • Develop and manage a pool of internal coaches and mentors to support leadership growth.
  • Implement the 70/20/10 model for leadership development, combining on-the-job learning, coaching/mentoring, and formal training.
  • Design and deliver high-impact leadership development workshops and coaching sessions.
  • Oversee the implementation and management of the 09 box tool for talent assessment and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify high-potential employees and create tailored development plans.
  • Manage and oversee the Manager Development Program, ensuring its effectiveness in preparing high-potential employees for leadership roles.
  • Build common leadership and professional skills for all employees.
  • Develop and implement a consistent evaluation framework to measure the effectiveness and value of leadership development programs and behavior change in leader cohorts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts, business partners, and vendors to create and design new content, tools, and learning solutions.
  • Track and analyze data to evaluate the impact of leadership development programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in leadership development.
  • Support other key culture, engagement, and leadership projects as required

Other responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Talent Development & Wider HR team as and when required.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Learning & Development, with a focus on leadership development.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering impactful training programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models.
  • Experience with the 09-box talent management matrix and succession planning processes.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Proficiency in multimedia creation tools (Canva / Clip Champ)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field.
