Description

The Senior Designer is responsible for design and development of apparel products (eg, lingerie, briefs, lounge wear etc.) for the assigned categories/customers, meeting the design, costing and development OTD objectives.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Creating and presenting new concepts for seasonal product launches to customers through effective product and market analysis.
  2. Coordinating with the internal teams to develop feasible designs within the target cost and development timelines.
  3. Liaising with customers and SMEs, including customer visit management, knowledge sharing, etc.
  4. Researching to understand the customer needs and identify seasonal trend directions in Silhouette, Print and graphic, Embellishment and finishing, and Fabric to provide product ranges.
  5. Understanding key trends, build concepts, and generate Tech Packs with clear technical descriptions and material, Print and Embellishment details to facilitate handover of concepts to tech teams for sampling.
  6. Preparation of samples along with relevant documentation, storyboards, PP presentations, etc. to be presented to customers.
  7. Maintaining and updating all documentation relevant to the design process from research to presentation preparation. Also carrying out research and working with business teams to compile promotional material.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion Designing/Clothing Technology

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Apparel design and development
  • Knowledge in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop and related software
  • Experience in Sportswear/Activewear would be an added advantage
  • 3D designing skills will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar capacity (Apparel / fashion)
  • Creativity, innovative and out-of-the-box thinking, ability to influence people (Influential skills) with good presentation and communication skills (Oral and written)
