Basis Consultant – SAP

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the installation, setup, and configuration of SAP S/4 HANA systems, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
• Plan and execute system upgrades, support package stacks, and patch management activities in accordance with best practices and business requirements.
• Monitor system performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimization strategies to enhance system stability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and architect SAP landscapes, considering factors such as high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for SAP systems, ensuring data integrity and system resilience.
• Implement and maintain security policies, roles, and authorizations within SAP environments to safeguard sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert-level support for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to SAP Basis components, including database, application servers, and interfaces.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team.

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as an SAP Basis Consultant, with a focus on SAP S/4 HANA.
• Hands-on experience in end-to-end private cloud implementation, preferably within the Fashion Suite domain.
• Proficiency in SAP Basis administration tasks, including system installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of SAP HANA database concepts and architecture.
• Experience with SAP system upgrades, support package stacks, and patch management.
• Knowledge of SAP security concepts, roles, and authorizations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• SAP certifications in relevant areas (e.g., SAP Certified Technology Associate) preferred.
